Deglin Kenealy


Deglin has a master’s degree from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and has had a long, prominent role in Financial Services. As a founder of Fisher Investments Private Client group, he grew the firm from $1.0 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM) with $10 million in recurring revenue to a firm that had over $20.0 billion in AUM and over $180 million in recurring revenue during his ten-year tenure. Deglin later served as CEO of Osborne Partners Capital Management. An experienced Angel Investor, he serves on a host of both corporate and charitable boards including TRX and Osborne Partners

Jeff Klemp


Jeff represents more than 25 years of specialty retail expertise, with past leadership roles in store operations, supply-chain, manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality control for Fortune 500 and startup companies. He was the Sr. Vice President of Operations and led new store openings, kiosk deployments, field and supply chain operations for a multibillion-dollar specialty retail company. He was responsible for the fulfillment and store operations of over 3,800 specialty retail stores with more than 35,000 associates. Jeff is currently the Chief Operations Officer for Commercial Automation – an advanced developer of proprietary kiosk solutions. This role perfectly blends his retail background and kiosk development expertise.

John Laspia


John leads a team of twelve engineers who specialize in providing solutions in the field of commercial automation. He’s designed and built successful retail concepts that were used at Blockbuster, Point360/MovieQ, Albertsons, Movie Galley, Hollywood Video, Blackhawk, Wherehouse Entertainment and Hollywood Entertainment. At Wherehouse, he developed proprietary trading software for music, games and movies, including a virtual distribution center for fulfillment of product to 650 stores. The GameZone concept at Movie Gallery generated $660 million in sales in year 2. John also built the largest game metadata database in the U.S. for Muze, currently being used by Ebay,, Best Buy and many others.

Robert Villani

VP of Innovation

Roberto is the founder of Basil Street and is a serial entrepreneur who has led many ventures. Most recently he was CEO of California Food Company, a specialty frozen pizza company, which launched the idea for and created Basil Street. Roberto‘s passion and vision to make the company thrive is a constant boost to the team. His drive will always keep Basil Street competitive and innovative.

Kathleen LaGue

VP of Operations

Kathleen has led operations for Basil Street since its inception. As Chief Operating Officer for California Food Company, the company from which Basil Street was launched, Kathleen led the production of specialty pizza/pizza crusts to major grocery retailers including Whole Foods and Kroger. She managed logistics and distribution contracts with multiple national distributors as well as overseeing marketing campaigns. With a strong multifaceted creative drive, she executive produced her own music CD and founded the record label that distributed them online and to national retailers. She has managed a portfolio of positive cash flow real estate ventures for the past 20 years. Kathleen graduated cum laude with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Art from Baker University, Baldwin City, KS

Adriano Pignatelli

VP of Distribution

Adriano has a deep and varied background in both sales and distribution. As Co-Founder of Gemballa North America, he built and managed distribution in North & South America for Gemballa Porsche tuning products. Adriano then founded Don’t Sweat It, Inc. where he was responsible for sales and project management of high end audio and video solutions. Adriano believes in the direction of consumer immediate gratification by means of leveraged technology which prompted him to join the team founding Basil Street. He graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Studies in 1994.

Allen Glenn

Project Management

Allen has provided consulting services to retail, financial services and manufacturing clients for over 25 years. He develops solutions to improve clients’ business processes, manage key projects and conduct strategic planning. His recent experience includes developing and implementing retail supply chain and operational process enhancements as acting PMO for an international client where he supported system implementations in over 400 stores. Allen is currently an Adjunct Professor in the School of Industrial Engineering and Management at Oklahoma State University. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Glenn was a manager with Kurt Salmon Associates, an international management-consulting firm to the retail consumer products and healthcare industries.

Davide Garbin

Director of Food Production

Davide a native of Italy, has an extensive background in the food industry in production, organization and food innovation in which he held managerial and executive positions in several companies such Sysco Food Service. He Co-founded Califooditalia and in collaboration with NipFood Italy created and supervised the industrial production of low glycemic, gluten free and high protein pasta and pizza crusts for sales in major European and domestic retailers. Davide's passion, food industry expertise and organizational skills bring tremendous value to Basil Street.

Bob Damon


Bob has over 30 years of experience working with boards and C-suite level executives on critical organizational and talent management issues. He spent 25 years in senior level operating roles with two global executive search organizations, Spencer Stuart and Korn/Ferry International. Earlier in his career, he had 10 years of business experience in various capacities with Booz Allen Hamilton and Arcata Corporation.

Although he has recruited CEOs for well-known organizations such as Oakley, Levi Strauss, Burger King and the National Football League, he has focused the last 15 years on talent acquisition projects in small/midsize private equity backed companies as well as in companies with existing strong founder inspired cultures. Examples of CEOs in this segment include Boa Technology, Drybar, 5.11 Tactical, G-Form, and Zildjian Company.

His industry focus has been consumer/lifestyle brands, health/wellness/nutrition, specialty retail, food service and outdoor/performance/action sports. Functionally, Bob has recruited CEOs, Board Directors and other strategically important C-Suite executives.

Bob’s ability to identify and differentiate between leaders and professional managers, along with his general business acumen and success in talent management, have led him to advisory roles in many companies. He presently serves on the following boards.

  • Chairman, SHEEX, Inc. – Sheex is a rapidly growing leader in performance bedding and apparel, founded by two former elite athletes—Michelle Marciniak and Susan Walvius.

John E Palmer is President & Chief Executive Officer of EDP Enterprises. Inc.. a full food service management company which he founded 30 years ago in Kansas City, Missouri. The company employs approximately 700 people and serves more than 42,000 meals per day to military troops at Fort Leonard Wood. Missouri.

In 1979, Mr Palmer served as Administrative Assistant to United States Senator Bob Dole In March of 1981 Mr. Palmer was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to the Department of Transportation where he ultimately reported to the first female Secretary of Transportation. Elizabeth Dole

Lindsey has over 30 years of experience as an executive in the restaurant/foodservice industry and serves as President & Chief Executive Officer for Schwartz Brothers Restaurants. The company owns and operates four Daniel’s Broiler Prime Steaks and Chops locations, all located in the Seattle area. Its Schwartz Brothers Bakery pastries and breads can be found in supermarkets along the West Coast including QFC, Fred Meyer, Ralphs and Costco. Lindsey also sat on the board of directors of MOD Pizza and Advisory Board of Nutpods.

Lindsey received a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Southern California.

Matt Geller


Matt Geller is the Co-Founder and CEO of the Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Association and the Founding President of the National Food Truck Association. The SoCal MFVA is a non-profit organization that represents upwards of 130 mobile vendors in Southern California. Under Geller’s leadership, the SoCalMFVA has successfully expanded rights and business opportunities for mobile vendors in over 30 jurisdictions in Southern California, while working cooperatively with Health Departments to promote balanced regulations and effective enforcement mechanisms. Geller’s “Association” model has become the national standard for food truck advocacy, with Geller having assisted over twenty cities, including New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Dallas, to establish similar associations. At the request of these regional associations, Geller founded the National Food Truck Association to provide information, strategic partnerships, and a collective voice on interstate issues.

Geller is also an entrepreneur. He is a founding partner and executive of Best Food Trucks, Inc. -- a revolutionary software platform that connects food trucks with event organizers, health departments, and consumers.

After almost a decade in the restaurant industry, Geller obtained his juris doctorate from UCLA School of Law in 2008. His recent publications include The New Food Truck Advocacy: Social Media, Mobile Food Vending Associations, Truck Lots, & Litigation in California & Beyond, published in the Chapman Nexus Law Journal, and the forward to David Weber's The Food Truck Handbook.

Randy Hetrick


Randy is the creator of the Suspension Trainer® -- among the most prolific pieces of exercise equipment in history--and the founder of TRX, one of the world’s leading training brands. Over the past three decades Randy built a record of unique accomplishments including: collegiate athlete, 14-year Navy SEAL Officer, bootstrap entrepreneur, multi-patented inventor, and growth company CEO whose company earned multiple placements on the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies and both local and national honors on the rosters of Best Places to Work. For over 10 years he worked on Live Events and Award Shows such as The Emmy Awards, Opening of The Superdome after Katrina with U2 and Green Day and Elton John Live to name a few. Sergio is on the board of Voto Latino and The Alfaro Do Good Foundation.

Paul Rock


Paul Rock serves primarily as the CHAIRMAN of the BOARD for ASSOCIATION PARTNERS and BOARD OF DIRECTORS TRUSTEE for the ASIAN AMERICAN TRADE ASSOCIATIONS COUNCIL (AATAC) and has been Executive Director and a member of the Board of Directors for several other retail channel groups and companies. Rock is also credited with being a Founder & Managing Member of AACSA Partners which controls deal flow and negotiation with corporate clients of the retail associations. He has formed or personally built over 26 of the 52 sub-groups that comprise the national retailer associations in the USA such as AATAC. These associations represent a reach of over 90,000 retail locations. The sister associations include the Asian Hotel Owners association which represents over 70 percent of all hotels and motels in the USA and the Indian Doctors Association that have over 68,000 practicing physicians. He is credited with having helped launch or directly launching over 1,500 brand and marketing initiatives and strategic corporate product and brand relationships between the associations and their corporate counterparts including distribution deals across North America.
